A few of you have suggested we consider doing some overnight camps at the Ranch so here's what we're thinking!

Pitch your tent or park your family RV at the Ranch in Oliver for a few days and enjoy spending time with some of our community, our herd, and Max the cat at the little ranch that could.
This event is contingent on support from participants and their families' with respect to camping gear, supervision, meals, etc. and will enable us to affordably include the whole family in some of the fun. Please let Leann know ASAP if you're interested in this camp-out so we can bring the details together.
Please note! This is highly tentative with many details still pending.
Some proposed activities may include:
Daily horse care tasks and chores
A few riding lessons and mounted activities for the rider(s) in your family
Test rides and some hands on practice for siblings, partners, or parents who do not ride with us!
Stick horse making and other crafts
Campfire sing along
Movie night under the stars (horse movie of course!)
A walk to the swimming hole in the river nearby if adult supervision allows
Things to know as we plan this:
We have a few amenities available including our outdoor kitchen with a BBQ, propane camp stove, running cold water, and refrigeration.
Leann and Chris will of course be camping out in their RV as well.
We also have a propane fire ring as we expect there to be a campfire ban.
We also have a 'cowboy' shower with actual hot water thanks to a propane on demand water heater.
Cost to participate will be approximately $400 per rider with no added charge for added family or siblings assuming you don't have a reality TV show sized family.
This also assumes the following:
You are bringing your own gear and are self sufficient for all your needs to enjoy a camping trip as if you were headed out on your own to a camping spot.
You are also taking care of your own meals and daily needs outside of the activities listed above.
A pot luck approach to planning meals may be possible if we can arrange all the needed connections however.
If you're thinking of attending these dates, please let Leann (leann@riding4life.ca) know ASAP and if some are able to help with logistics and organization on this one then there's a good chance we might be able to make this happen this year!
