Ages 7 -11 & 12-16 Weekly Hands on Learning Group

What is Barn Kids?


Barn Kids is a group designed for those who don’t have regular access to a barnyard and all the developmental and recreational benefits of growing up with animals, community, and acreage in their own back yard.



*Please note – this program is intended to supplement participation in our Therapeutic Programs.


Spring Session (10 weeks) -$300 +gst

Fridays 4-6pm beginning April 3rd (Ages 12-16)

Saturdays 2-4pm beginning April 4th (Ages 7-11)


Summer Session (8 weeks) -$240 +gst

Saturdays 12pm-2pm beginning second week of July (all ages)


Fall Session (8 weeks) -$240 +gst

Fridays 4-6pm beginning September 11th (Ages 12-16)

Saturdays 2-4pm beginning September 12th(Ages 7-11)


Activities Include:

· Cleaning pens, stalls, and paddocks

· Filling/cleaning water tanks

· Filling hay nets

· Feeding daily grain rations

· Yard work & grounds keeping chores

· Basic horse healthcare

· Equipment care & maintenance




Learning Outcomes:

· Daily care needs of a typical horse

· Teamwork

· Task planning

· Time management

· Problem solving

· Barnyard Safety/Awareness

Registration Policy:

Completed intake forms, and payment for the first 4 sessions, or confirmation of billing authorization is required to reserve space. Limited space available on a first come, first serve basis. Upon registration you will receive a confirmation email which will include your dates, and basic program registration information. All parents & legal guardians MUST complete a registration form with waiver for each child who plans to participate. These forms are available online, by email, or at our office. They must be fully complete & submitted on the morning of the program at the latest or your child may be denied participation in the program.


**Session rates are for consecutive weeks and cannot be pro-rated
